The Union Cabinet chaired by honourable Prime Minister Shree Narendra Modi had approved the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) to set-up Infrastructure Investment Trust(s) (InvIT) in December 2019. This is the first InvIT sponsored by Government of India and Semi-Government entities as a primary objective to attract investments for the Infrastructure projects. The idea is to set up a competent entity of experts that can professionally run the Infrastructure Trust to mobilize resources from the market for monetizing completed highway projects of NHAI. As part of launching the InVIT, NHAI has hired Suresh Goyal, former India Head & Senior Managing Director, Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets - MIRA (India) as the MD & CEO of the upcoming InvIT. Besides Mr Suresh Goyal, the newly set up board consists of B Sriram, (former Managing Director & CEO of IDBI Bank) as chairman, Shailendra N Roy (former director at L&T Group) and MP Sharma as independent directors.

Job Profile:

  • Responsible for setting up HR function from scratch
  • Formulate HR policies, processes, framework to benefit employees and business
  • Design organization structure and job competency & benchmarking
  • Develop HR plans and strategies to support the achievement of the overall business operations objectives
  • Recruitment will be a large part of the role as the organization is in the stage of building out. Act as a partner in driving an effective & efficient hiring strategy for the organization
  • Provide guidance, counsel, and best practices to the business and the firm’s leaders, managers and employees
  • Make HR more agile. Develop the iterative, experimental mind-set of your HR teams, enabling them to contribute meaningfully to digital business transformation
  • Create and implement talent management, engagement and training programs in line with business objectives and skill set needs
  • Develop rewards and recognition programs to attract and retain employees
  • Manage ER/IR situations as they arise, acting with the highest levels of discretion and professionalism

Candidate Profile:

  • Experience of 15 + years. MBA/ Post Graduation in Human Resources
  • Prefer talent having experience in infrastructure industry.
  • Experience involved in building out an organisation
  • Strong multiple stakeholder management. Ability to challenge and influence to drive HR initiatives
  • Should have worked in the start-up and build-out organisation
  • Should possess good knowledge on statutory compliance and labour law
  • Should have good experience in managing IR matters.
  • Must have strategic mindset with strong execution leg
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Strategic Leadership skills.
